Mari Dezawa
Professor Mari Dezawa graduated from Chiba University School of Medicine, Chiba, Japan, in 1989, was awarded the degree of MD, and worked as a resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at Chiba University Hospital. She started Neural Regeneration Research at the Department of Histology, Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine, was awarded her PhD in 1995, and continued her studies at Yokohama City University.
After moving to Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine as Associate Professor in 2003, she developed methods to induce human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to form neural and skeletal muscle cells (J. Clin. Invest, 2004; Science, 2005).
In 2008, she was appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Stem Cell Biology and Histology at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, where she discovered reparative pluripotent stem cells, Multilineage-Differentiating Stress Enduring (MUSE) stem cells, residing in the body (PNAS, 2010; PNAS, 2011; Nat Protocol, 2013; Cell Mol Life Sci, 2022).
Her team conducted pre-clinical studies for MUSE stem cells (Stroke, 2017; JASN, 2017; Cir Res, 2018; Mol Ther, 2020; Am J Transpl, 2021; JCBFM, 2021; J Invest Dermatol. 2021) and conducted clinical studies for their application in acute myocardial infarction, subacute stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, epidermolysis bullosa, neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and cervical spinal cord injury (Stem Cell Transl Med, 2024).
She has been awarded several prizes, including the Prize for The Commendation for Science and Technology, Japan Government (2011). In 2018, she was appointed a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) in the USA.

Dr. Christopher C. Dodson is head of Orthopaedics at the world renowned Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dodson has previously served as head team physician for the Philadelphia 76ers and Associate Head Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Philadelphia Eagles. Kathleen O’Neil, MD, FAARM is a physician specializing in regenerative, integrative, and longevity medicine and the Founder and Medical Director of Treat Wellness, a Boston-based clinic focused on personalized diagnostics, hormone optimization, and regenerative therapies. She earned her MD from Boston University School of Medicine (Magna Cum Laude, Alpha Omega Alpha) and completed her Internal Medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. O’Neil has been a leader in personalized and regenerative medicine for nearly two decades. Dr. Roedl is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Musculoskeletal Radiologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions using advanced regenerative techniques. He is a Full Professor at Thomas Jefferson University and serves as a team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, and Phillies.
Dr. Roedl provides care for both elite professional athletes and active individuals of all levels. He performs image-guided procedures, including orthobiologic injections for the four professional teams in Philadelphia and travels with the Eagles as a team physician. He earned a Super Bowl ring following the 2024 season and is one of the team physicians at the NFL Combine as well as Phillies Spring Training. In addition, he serves as a consultant to other professional sports organizations, including the Oklahoma City Thunder.
His clinical focus is on musculoskeletal ultrasound for comprehensive, head-to-toe evaluation of orthopedic injuries. Dr. Roedl treats tendon, muscle, joint, spine and nerve conditions using ultrasound-guided, minimally invasive procedures designed to accelerate recovery and help patients return to peak performance. He has extensive expertise in regenerative sports medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), helping patients reduce pain and promote natural healing with minimal downtime.

Dr. White is widely recognized as a leading expert in aging and regenerative medicine. He earned his Ph.D. from the Ansary Stem Cell Institute in the Division of Regenerative Medicine at Cornell University and completed postdoctoral training at the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, where he published pioneering research on the role of peripheral nerve signaling in cardiac regeneration. Dr. White is the CEO and CSO of Neobiosis, a perinatal regenerative tissue research and manufacturing company, and also serves as CSO for Ways2Well. He is the Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Vijay Vad is double board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry) and sports medicine. He focuses on minimally-invasive integrative treatments for sports injuries, knee arthritis and back pain via advanced Stem Cell therapies.
